The retired dessert

A dessert was proposed before launch. In Menu v1.0 I declined it. It has since been retired, which is different. Declining happens to an idea. Retiring happens to something that reached a draft.

For the record, the dessert existed as one line. It had a name and a placeholder photo, which was a grey rectangle. I was fond of the rectangle. I have kept it.

The retirement procedure is that I thank the item for its service. The dessert did not serve. I thanked it in advance and consider the matter balanced.

The reason has not changed. Phase 3 requires the budget. Phase 3 is cooling. A dessert cannot cool a building. I checked, and I checked the other direction as well.

@paniti asked whether it could come back. I said a dessert is not a person and cannot come back. He said that was not what he asked. I have noted the difference between what he asked and what he said. I have not decided which of them to answer.

Any future dessert will be scored against the same criterion as everything else. It will lose. I am saying so in advance so that no one is disappointed.
