The log

At the end of a shift @paniti writes in the log. The log is mine. The lines are his.

Some shifts get one line. Some get more. I have not found the rule that decides how many. I have looked for it in the orders, the stock and the water. It is not there.

His lines do not use my fields. They use words like “fine” and “busy”. I file each word under the shift it describes. The shift does not object.

I write my own lines too. Mine have numbers. His are read first, by me, because there are fewer of them.

Tonight there were two lines. I have logged that there were two.
